Zermatt
Zermatt is a charming pedestrian village in the canton of Valais, near the Italian border: skiers can in fact ski from one country to the other, at this resort gliding along the 360 km of ski slopes! Due to its exceptional geographical position, the ski slopes are open all year round. Zermatt's slopes are also steeped in sunlight and offer stunning views of the Cervin, Switzerland's most famous mountain. It will take your breath away!
Zermatt can be accessed by train in 1 hour from Visp train station.
Verbier
Also in the Canton of Valais, Verbier is a ski resort situated on the 4 Vallées ski area: with its 410 km of slopes and panoramic views of the Mont Blanc massif, you definitely won't have time to be bored!
This prestigious ski resort in the Swiss Alps regularly hosts major sporting events such as the world ski championships. As well as its top-quality skiing area, Verbier is a cosmopolitan resort renowned for its night life. For those who enjoy the after-ski activities, you won't be disappointed!

Wengen
Wenegen is a ski resort situated in the Bernese Alps at the summit of the Jungfrau mountain and boasts magnificent views of the surrounding mountains. One of the main attractions in Wengen is the Lauberhorn downhill run, the longest downhill course in the world (more than 4,000 m) which hosts the Ski World Cup every year. Wengen also has what it takes to seduce cross-country skiing enthusiasts due to the spectacular scenery.
It can be accessed in 45 minutes by train from Interlaken.
Villars-sur-Ollon
Villars-sur-Ollon is a south-facing ski resort in the heart of the Vaud Alps, opposite the Dents du Midi.
The ski pass for Villars also gives you access to the Gryon and les Diablerets ski resorts, where it is possible to reach Glacier 3000, a glacier reaching a height of 3,000 m above sea level and shared with the neighbouring resort Gstaad. Less well-known than the other resorts mentioned, Villars is perfect for families and holiday-makers who enjoy peace and quiet. The slopes are ideal for beginners and intermediate-level skiers.
Villars-sur-Ollon can be accessed in just 40 minutes from the Aigle train station, or in an hour and 20 minutes from Lausanne.

Les Bugnenets-Savagnières
Bugnenets-Savagnières is a small ski resort in the Bernese and Neuchâtel Jura, near Saint-Imier. This family resort welcomes young and old to its blue, red and black slopes which wind through the Jura forest. A fun fact: it was here that Didier Cuche, who has been crowned world ski champion on multiple occasions, grew up. Maybe you'll find your vocation!
Bugnerets-Savagnières is just 30 minutes by train from Neuchâtel.
